At DITW we like to push the boundaries of custom bike packing bags when it comes to its core: the design, aesthetics and functionality. From custom printing and hand dyeing fabrics, creating digital frame bag patterns to our most recent project where we took our vision of seamless bag to bike integration to the next level. We used Fidlock magnetic clasps integrated with the bike for custom Frame Bag and TT bag !

A clean, strap-free design ?

One of the standout features of this new system is the elimination of traditional straps and lacing method, that we all know! The Fidlock magnetic clasps create a smooth, minimalist design that allows the bags to blend perfectly with the bike frame. This not only improves the bike’s overall look but also enhances the user experience by making the bags incredibly easy to attach and remove.

Soo... even though, the days of straps and lacing are not yet gone, with this new system, we feel there might be a start of a new era.

Improved usability and security!

Thanks to the magnetic clasps, cyclists can quickly remove or attach their bags with ease. Whether you’re packing for a long-distance tour or just a daily commute, this system ensures your bags stay securely fastened, even on rough terrain and you can ride confidently knowing your gear is locked in place.

Precision which required a close collaboration with frame builders 

This project was a true collaboration between us and our friends at True Love, who create beautifully crafted bikes! The seamless integration of the Fidlock required precise measurements and expert craftsmanship from both sides. The result is a bike packing bag system that fits flawlessly and functions at the highest level!

Limited to custom and direct mount bikes

At the moment we can offer this system to future owners of custom bikes where we can work with bike builder or those bikes fitted with direct mount attachments. While it’s not yet possible to bring this feature to off-the-shelf bikes, we hope to see wider adoption of this really rad technology in the future.
